WDO Services for Fine Repayment
A Work and Development Order (WDO) is an order made by the Office of State Revenue (OSR) that allows individuals to satisfy all or part of their fine debt through a variety of approved activities. These activities are designed to provide individuals with an opportunity to manage their fines while also addressing other personal challenges they may be facing. The WDO can include one or more of the following:

-
Undertaking unpaid work for or on behalf of an approved sponsor,
-
Undergoing medical or mental health treatment in accordance with a health practitioner's treatment plan,
-
Participating in an educational, vocational, or life skills course,
-
Undergoing financial or other counselling,
-
Engaging in drug or alcohol treatment, or
-
Participating in a mentoring program (available to individuals under the age of 25).

Through our WDO services, we help clients navigate their legal obligations and effectively manage their fines. Our support includes guidance on the WDO process and provides access to resources that enable clients to repay fines through community service, educational programs, or other relevant activities. We focus on skill development, personal growth, and the overall well-being of our clients, leading to more sustainable and positive long-term outcomes.
Eligibility for a WDO is available to individuals who meet any of the following criteria:

-
Have a mental illness,
-
Have an intellectual disability or cognitive impairment,
-
Are homeless,
-
Are experiencing acute economic hardship, or
-
Have a serious addiction to drugs, alcohol, or volatile substances.

By offering a range of flexible options, WDOs aim to support individuals in overcoming barriers to fine repayment while simultaneously addressing key aspects of their health, education, and personal development. This approach fosters long-term positive change and enhances social inclusion for people facing complex challenges.
