Capacity Building Supports

Capacity Building will allow you to access flexible, understanding and personalised care to ensure you can achieve your goals.

This includes,

Assistance with Cleaning your home.
Assistance with preparing meals.
Managing personal care.
Support with grocery shopping.
Assistance with Social & Community Participation.
Social skills and confidence building (I.e. Group activities with your peers)

Accommodation

Raven Community Care offers three NDIS-funded accommodation support options:

Individualised Living Options (ILO): Tailored support for people who need ongoing help with daily tasks like cooking and cleaning while living as independently as possible at home.
Short-Term Accommodation (STA): Temporary stays for individuals who need a break or additional support for short periods, offering respite for both participants and their carers.
Respite Support: Provides temporary care, giving family or carers a break while ensuring the person still receives necessary assistance with daily activities.

Each option is designed to help people with disabilities live independently, build skills, and meet their personal goals.

Support Coordination

Support Coordination means we help you identify, coordinate and access support services and disability services providers on your behalf. Our Support Coordinators have over 10 years of experience working as Case Managers within the Community Services Sector.

Group Based Activity Programs

NDIS-funded group activities allow participants to develop their skills and participate in community groups. These support services are delivered under the Core Supports budget and can be claimed by a participant, their family or friends, or a registered NDIS service provider.

NDIS group activities are a great way to build community connections, develop friendships, and learn new interests and hobbies. Group activities allow participants to build connections, develop friendships, and learn new skills and hobbies while participating more fully in their community. Our group-based programs also support a range of mental health benefits, including improved mood and self-esteem.

Depending on the activity, participants may experience physical benefits as well. For example, participation in fitness classes or sports can result in increased strength and coordination. Other mental health benefits of group activities include a sense of belonging and increased confidence. This can be particularly beneficial for people with disabilities who may have experienced isolation or loneliness in the past.
